Mentoring in Professional Public Speaking

Lynne Cazaly is a professional speaker.

She knows what it takes to build a public speaking offer from doing free gigs in small rooms... to paid gigs on big stages. And that progression doesn't happen easily or immediately. But there are some key steps to making opportunities blossom in professional speaking. And there are certainly some traps to avoid!

Work with Lynne Cazaly 1:1 as your mentor in developing your professional speaking experience, offer and career.

Note that this is 1:1 work, tailored to your expertise, your goals and your business. It's not a canned group program that might be easy for the mentor but doesn't deliver value to you.

Let's focus on the gigs you want to achieve and the message you have to share with the sectors and industries you want to hang out with.

We'll work through the four key elements of building a professional speaking offer, and build up your expertise, skills and know-how and address your questions, queries, challenges and roadblocks.

Let's work together on these 4 things:

your POSITIONING to attract enquiries, engagements and work

the COMMERCIALS in securing or selling the gig

your PERFORMANCE at the gig or event

the BUSINESS that happens behind the scenes

... plus the questions, queries and challenges you have at any time throughout the process.

Why is this 1:1 mentoring and not a group?

There are key reasons why this program is delivered 1:1.

It is tailored and specific to you, efficient and productive for you, deeply insightful, supportive, kind and practical.

Be careful. Group learning can be a great distraction that feels like you're making progress. While it's economical for the person delivering it, the group situation often keeps you hooked in and hanging on, waiting for crumbs of advice that might be relevant to you.

So beware of peripheral advice in a group setting that isn't useful.

Group mentoring or training might be fun, with that sense that you're 'learning alot' or 'part of the group', but you're also exposed to broad, wide and wasteful advice on too many topics and too many people. If your purpose is to learn a lot, go ahead. But if you need specific advice for your world, your situation and where you're at, what you're experiencing and how to move to the next level, 1:1 mentoring will do that for you. And sooner than being in a group.

Hearing everyone else's stories, ideas and experiences might be interesting in a group setting but there is often only a tiny piece of advice that could relate to you and your situation. Over say, 12 hours of group sessions, you may only have 30 - 45 minutes that are truly devoted to you your situation ... and few if any 1:1 deep sessions. That's a long time to wait for specific support. It also means you are likely applying generic-type strategies and tactics that aren't suitable to you and your message, market and positioning. And this is exactly why you might wonder why what you're doing isn't working.

In a group situation, you'll often be waiting a while for all of the other advice to be given to all of the other people. As interesting as it is, it only delays your progress, activities and outcomes because the advice is being given to individuals about their situations.

That's not your situation.

Accelerate your progress in professional speaking by choosing 1:1 mentoring.
